The third and final medium for human processing behaviour we will explore is through our **Environment**, beginning with how it may influence our natural pull towards different fields of life through our **Environmental Configuration (Nature)**. --- The only system I have currently found that seems to explain this phenomenon is, unexpectedly, **Astrology**. I understand that this may immediately raise concerns or make some readers hesitant to continue, as it initially did for me. However, the correlation between the **Astrological Functions** and the behavioural processing subdivisions developed in this project appears substantial enough to warrant exploration. <div style=" position: relative; padding: 0.75rem 1rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0; background-color: rgba(77, 208, 225, 0.1); overflow: hidden; "> <div style=" position: absolute; left: 0; top: 0; bottom: 0; width: 10px; background: repeating-linear-gradient( 135deg, #000 0 10px, #FFD600 10px 20px ); "></div> <div style="margin-left: 18px;"> If the content on this page feels too mystical, you can skip this section without losing any foundational understanding of the project. Its strongest relevance becomes clearer in Section 7, and none of the material discussed here changes the project’s core theory. </div> </div> While there are some reasons I am open to speculating about Astrology's plausible validity, I have not come across consistent evidence or a clear mechanism that proves specific signs and placements reliably influence specific behavioural differences. For this reason, this section should currently be treated as a symbolic comparison between the Astrological signs and the behavioural processing subdivisions of this project, rather than as a proven causal system. <div style=" position: relative; padding: 0.75rem 1rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0; background-color: rgba(77, 208, 225, 0.1); overflow: hidden; "> <div style=" position: absolute; left: 0; top: 0; bottom: 0; width: 10px; background: repeating-linear-gradient( 135deg, #000 0 10px, #FFD600 10px 20px ); "></div> <div style="margin-left: 18px;"> While Astrology may describe the same behavioural patterns as our subdivisions, if Astrology itself is <strong>not real</strong>, then this section <strong>does not</strong> reflect or cause your <strong>Environmental Configuration</strong>. </div> </div> --- <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #64B5F6; background-color: rgba(100, 181, 246, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0; display: flex; align-items: flex-start; "> <span style="margin-right: 0.5rem;">💡</span> <div style="flex: 1;"> I believe that it is likely that our Environmental Configuration may be influenced by environmental conditions experienced during development in the womb, however I am currently unaware of any detailed system (outside of Astrology) that organises this process into clear behavioural groupings. </div> </div> --- # Subdivisions While the twelve classical Astrological Functions do appear to follow a similar subdivision pattern to this project, this relationship should not be treated as a perfect structural match. In order to compare the two systems, I have taken the twelve signs, grouped them through the fixed and changing sign structure, and then reordered them against the way the Mental/Physical subdivisions appear to unfold from Mental through to Physical. At a first glance, the four **Fixed signs** appear to form the second level of division, while the eight additional **Changing signs** develop as further Mental/Physical variations beneath them. <img src="Assets/image5.png" class="theme-aware" alt="My Diagram"> <div class="my-purple" data-canvas-target="mental"> <strong>Mental</strong> <div class="my-red"> <strong>Aquarius [Mental/Mental]</strong> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Pisces [M/M/M] - Layer 8</strong> </div> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Sagittarius [M/M/P] - Layer 7</strong> </div> </div> <div class="my-red"> <strong>Leo [Mental/Physical]</strong> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Libra [M/P/M] - Layer 6</strong> </div> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Cancer [M/P/P] - Layer 5</strong> </div> </div> </div> <div class="my-purple" data-canvas-target="physical"> <strong>Physical</strong> <div class="my-red"> <strong>Scorpio [Physical/Mental]</strong> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Gemini [P/M/M] - Layer 4</strong> </div> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Capricorn [P/M/P] - Layer 3</strong> </div> </div> <div class="my-red"> <strong>Taurus [Physical/Physical]</strong> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Virgo [P/P/M] - Layer 2</strong> </div> <div style=" border-left: 4px solid #FF8C42; background-color: rgba(255, 140, 66, 0.1); padding: 0.75rem; border-radius: 6px; margin: 1rem 0 0 1rem; "> <strong>Aries [P/P/P] - Layer 1</strong> </div> </div> </div> However, this is not necessarily how Astrology itself should be understood. It may be more accurate to see the twelve signs as being spread evenly across the full Mental/Physical behavioural processing spectrum, rather than treating the eight changing signs as literal subdivisions of the four Fixed signs. <img src="astrology.png" style=" margin-top: 0.75rem; width: 100%; height: auto; border-radius: 4px; display: block; filter: invert(100%); "> Yet, as both layouts still place the signs in similar positions along the same circular spectrum, their descriptions should still largely correspond. Instead a persons chart can contain many different sign combinations depending on their birth time and location, making astrology in its current form harder to organise into one clear behavioural type. If you still wish to include astrology in your behavioural typology, the most common method is to use a combination of your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs. <span class="nav-buttons">[[5.3 Physiological Rebalance|« Back]] [[6.2 Environmental Imbalance (Nurture)|Next »]]</span>
