Now we can move into the **Third Subdivision** level of our **Psychological Configuration**. At this level, each of the four function categories are split again through a further **Mental** or **Physical** processing direction, giving us eight distinct branches of psychological processing.
<img src="Assets/image5.png" class="theme-aware" alt="My Diagram">
- **Intuition (M/M) → Internal Intuition \[M/M/M]** & **External Intuition \[M/M/P]**
- **Feeling (M/P) → Internal Feeling \[M/P/M]** & **External Feeling \[M/P/P]**
- **Thinking (P/M) → Internal Thinking \[P/M/M]** & **External Thinking \[P/M/P]**
- **Sensing (P/P) → Internal Sensing \[P/P/M]** & **External Sensing \[P/P/P]**
Each of these eight branches directly represents one of the Eight Layers of Human Ability as they appear through the processing channel of the Mind. These branches are commonly recognised through Jungian and post Jungian typology as the eight Cognitive Functions, and we will be using them as the final building blocks for forming each Psychological Configuration type.
