At its foundation, Re-Assimilation Theory organises human behaviour through two core modes of processing: **Mental (M)** and **Physical (P)**.
<div class="my-purple" data-canvas-target="mental-processing">
<strong>Mental Processing (M)</strong><br>
Mental processing recognises patterns and connections, helping us interpret why things occur, how different parts relate, and what may follow.
</div>
<div class="my-purple" data-canvas-target="physical-processing">
<strong>Physical Processing (P)</strong><br>
Physical processing uses the bodily senses to recognise and react to what directly exists around us through sight, hearing, touch, taste and smell.
</div>
We each use both modes of processing to understand and respond to the world around us, with some of us leaning more towards **Mental** processing, some towards **Physical** processing, and most lying somewhere in between.

<p data-canvas-target="subdivision-sequence">
These differences in processing can be mapped using a tiered system, where each level splits into further <strong>Mental</strong> and <strong>Physical</strong> subdivisions, going from <strong>1 → 2 → 4 → 8 → 16 →...</strong> unique formations, with each level providing increasingly complex and distinct patterns for how different people engage with the world.
</p>

<p style="margin:0 !important; padding:0; line-height:1.5;">
This project focuses on the <strong>third level</strong> of subdivision where we get <strong>eight unique processing segments</strong>, going from the most mental <strong>[M/M/M]</strong> to the most physical <strong>[P/P/P]</strong> forms of processing behaviour.
</p>
</div>
While deeper subdivisions are possible, this level remains complex enough to show meaningful differences between people while still being clear and readable. We will first use these eight divisions to develop the **Eight Layers of Human Ability**, which define the core categorisations for human development, intelligence and survival, before later exploring how each of the layers uniquely shape human behaviour from adolescence through to adulthood.
